I don’t mind the added safety systems if they are optional. Let me chose what I want or make them all part of a safety package. My main concerns with these systems is the complexity, repair costs, and added weight. Good drivers don’t need them but they make other drivers more lax because they no longer have to worry about skill of driving.

This takes care of the advantages. Now, we’ll move to the down sides of this gearbox. The biggest detriment, and the item that most often gets the blame for 700R4’s being disabled on the roadside, is the dreaded TV cable. The 700R4 uses a cable that connects the throttle linkage to the transmission’s throttle valve (TV) in the valvebody.
This plot’s real benefit, though, is pinpointing how long ago the repairs were made, since not all of the receipts have a mileage stamp on them, but nearly all have a date.
