The wheel speed sensor wire has a body plug attached to it. This plug can be damaged if it’s not removed correctly. If the body plug is damaged, sensor replacement may be necessary, even though the sensor is functional in all other respects. When removing the body plug, rotate the plug into a position which allows the use of a small screwdriver to release the tabs on the underside of the body plug. These two tabs are at right angles (directly above and below) to the sensor wire.

Next, the 700R4 is easier to install since it does not require anything more than the TV cable hookup, shortening the driveshaft, moving the crossmember, and adding a 12-volt source to the transmission. You have the luxury of choosing a lockup converter, and there are kits available to lock the converter when the transmission shifts into overdrive. This does, however, require the use of a special brake light switch. These are cheap and easy to wire into the transmission. This switch cuts power to the transmission when you step on the brake pedal, which unlocks the converter.

Parking sensors have been a much-request feature since the launch of the second-generation Colorado for the 2015 model year, and we’re glad to see Chevy adding it. Though definitely useful and welcome, all Colorado models come with a standard rear view camera, and some might find the addition of the parking sensors at the rear somewhat redundant.
