According to Automotive Fleet, GM/ Chevy informed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that there was Base radio default in their pickup trucks. The base radio gives off warnings if the key is left in the ignition or if seat belts aren’t clipped on properly. It also warns you if the doors are left open. Without the base radio working correctly it would cause the trucks not to be in compliance with motor vehicle safety standards. The alert can prevent needless injuries, and theft of the vehicle in case a driver or a passenger forgets. Pickup trucks affected are the 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 and the 2005 Silverado HD. There were no deaths or injuries reported due to this defect but Chevy took it seriously and fixed it of no charge to the customers.

But, I hate the lane departure warning, forward collision warning and the like because bad drivers rely on them rather than actively driving the car. Good drivers will ignore the false alerts until one day its for real and they still ignore it. Normalization of deviance its called in some circles.
• Full diesel-electric mode can be used for standby and low-speed transits. This mode adds the benefit of reduced fuel and maintenance consumption by using smaller gen-sets instead of propulsion engines, Caterpillar said and also reduces NOx emissions with a higher engine load factor.
Short answer, yes, and you’re at the mercy of the dealerships pricing on parts and labor…However, aftermarket options exist…
Undo the clutch slave first. Be delicate with the metal clutch line and fittings. You don’t want to damage any of the lines. Be prepared to catch any clutch fluid using a bottle of some sort. Chances are it is filthy and black. Remove the clutch master cyclinder. You may have to undo a lever in the driver-side footwell before undoing the nuts on the firewall.
An old school driver grounded in the physical and mechanical reality of what’s going on right now with the conveyance in which one’s ass is situated doesn’t need the distraction.
1. Gearing. Last year, we switched the stock 48-tooth rear sprocket for a 49. For 2019, Yamaha adopted the “add one tooth on the rear” solution.2. Cheap R&D. Honda, Kawasaki, KTM and Husqvarna built new bikes; Yamaha changed the wheel spacers and fork lugs and made the biggest improvement they’ve made in years to the steering response. Thanks to the axle lugs, it doesn’t wiggle at turn-in.3. SSS. Yamaha has the best coil spring forks in the biz. Heck, they have the best forks, coil spring or air, in the biz.4. Reliability. Nothing is as reliable as a Yamaha YZ450F. It will last forever.5. Wi-Fi mapping. You can remap your 2019 YZ450F with your iPhone. We run the Travis Preston map.
