Next, I contorted my body to get into the tiny driver’s footwell. Once there, I removed two nuts holding the master cylinder to the firewall (one shown in the picture below, and one on the opposite corner hidden from view).
And though there are some components whose health you can easily check (for example, a compression test can be a good indicator of engine health), service records are the most useful bits of information to determine how a car has been cared for over time. Plus, they can help you out when diagnosing a fault. Knowing when certain components were replaced is a godsend.
The system is activated when the Colorado is put into reverse gear and is traveling below 5 mph (8km/h). While backing up under these conditions, the driver is alerted to a potential impact via the vehicle’s driver information center (DIC, pictured below), which shows the location (left, right or center) for rear-detected objects close to the vehicle. The system also delivers a series of audible beeps depending on the distance of the vehicle and a detected object.

Together with its twin, this truck has once been recalled so that their power steering defect could be fixed. This light duty truck comes with a faulty electric power steering assist that could lead to temporary loss and sudden return of the system.
But bikers should know better than to hang out in blind spots. Then if they’re splitting lanes, god help them.
The Sierra is arguable handsomer than the Silverado, mostly thanks to its more elegant grill, but the truck’s overall profile is likewise pleasing—athletic and imposing, if ridiculously massive. This, of course, is indicative of the out-of-control bloat in the pickup space in general; this generation’s full-size truck looks like a heavy-duty pickup from just a couple generations ago. This was acknowledged during the quick design briefing: that big blockish grille, we were told, was explicitly designed for "more of a heavy-duty look" because that’s what customers wanted. Looks like we’re just about back to the ridiculousness that is the International CXT and the children who love it.
Front Wheel Speed Sensor Corrosion occurred with the 1999- 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 and the Sierra 800 and is something Chevy owners need to be aware of. The ABS Wheel Speed Sensors are mounted near each tire to help monitor the speed which each tire is maintaining and to help with intervening by rapidly pumping the brakes.

I can see a certain level of some of these driver aids but itâs jumped the shark. Inattentive idiots are using this stuff as an excuse to be even bigger morons. Thatâs a net loss.
But none of these stories is as unfortunate as Joe Finn’s, because after his airbag went off on his 2018 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 during mild off-road driving, he said GM refused to pay the repair bill that his insurance company estimated would total $6,512.74 (see below).
