The scorched 3-4 clutches (right) are what typically fail in a 700R4 if the TV cable is not adjusted properly. Thousands of innocent 700R4’s have died because of poor TV cable tuning.
AAA’s thesis is: “These systems are made as an aid to driving, they are not autonomous, despite all of the hype around vehicle autonomy,” said Greg Brannon, AAA’s director of automotive engineering. “Clearly having ‘pilot’ in the name may imply a level of unaided driving, which is not correct for the current state of the development of these systems.” The entire article focused on drivers who believed having driver assist systems seemed to make some drivers think the cars will drive themselves.

I thought your name was always in blue? To prove how legitimate you are and all…….. Anyhow, nice to see GM own the problem and fix it for their owners.
This was my question originally submitted to Sajeev and I have learned a lot from the mostly thoughtful comments.
In addition to the gasoline engine options, an all-new Duramax 3.0-liter inline-six turbo diesel will become available in early 2019.
Featuring Chevy’s active noise cancellation, Traverse is a quiet cabin filled with short- and long-trip conveniences. A humidity sensor that detects moisture and diverts air to the windshield to help prevent fogging, and a great list of safety technologies, including a surround-view camera, lane keeping and lane departure warning, front pedestrian braking, and forward collision alert with low- and high-speed braking, are part of the Premier packaging.
Joel Rode’s Hot Rod Specialties shop in Upland, California, performed the new engine installation along with the FiTech system. With everything bolted in place, we met the ’56 at Westech Performance Group for a final rundown and tune on the chassis dyno. Because of some transmission issues they weren’t able to perform a full power run but, using the Superflow electric dyno, they were able to do some final highway cruise air/fuel ratio tuning by setting a given speed that allows the dyno operator to manipulate various throttle settings while maintaining a given speed. This is something only a load-based dyno like the Superflow can perform.
Chevrolet introduced the all-new 2018 Traverse with an impressive update to the exterior bold styling and an added level of refinement to the cabin. The completely redesigned Traverse offers technologies to help keep passengers comfortable and connected.
To the next owner, the records tell the vehicle’s service history over the years—which major parts have been swapped (in my case, it was quite a few parts that commonly fail on XJs), how frequently the fluids were checked and replaced, and what sorts of accidents the car has been involved in. It helps to give an idea of what still needs to be done, taking some of the unwanted surprise out of used vehicle ownership. Plus records help with troubleshooting of future faults.
The Sierra is arguable handsomer than the Silverado, mostly thanks to its more elegant grill, but the truck’s overall profile is likewise pleasing—athletic and imposing, if ridiculously massive. This, of course, is indicative of the out-of-control bloat in the pickup space in general; this generation’s full-size truck looks like a heavy-duty pickup from just a couple generations ago. This was acknowledged during the quick design briefing: that big blockish grille, we were told, was explicitly designed for "more of a heavy-duty look" because that’s what customers wanted. Looks like we’re just about back to the ridiculousness that is the International CXT and the children who love it.
